Anyone else having issues with high corn or overgrown trees blocking their view while trying to turn corners lately in the Stateline?

Just the other day I almost got nailed trying to pull onto East State Street after leaving Hobby Lobby due to overgrown trees blocking my view of an approaching vehicle, and apparently, I'm not the only one having problems with blind intersections.

The Illinois State Police recently shared a warning about 'corny corners' that are becoming a problem all over the state. They recently shared this picture with a very important message every driver needs to keep in mind:

Call them what you want. They are extremely dangerous. Can you see the car coming from the left? Me either. They don't have a stop sign either. Don't trust that the other driver will stop/slow. Use extreme caution at EACH intersection now that the corn is up. Slow down, look both ways, look again,  for ‍♀️‍♀️, and proceed if it is clear and safe to do so. Don't risk your life or the lives of others.

If traveling back roads is something you LOVE to do during the summer, please proceed with caution and stay safe, AND if you live on a corner with overgrown bushes/trees that you fear may be blocking views, PLEASE trim them back. Thank you.
