When you think of pizza chains in Illinois, I tend to think of Papa John's.

Regardless of how you feel about its former founder, people love them some Papa John's. Well, at least that's what I thought.

When I was looking at the Most Popular Pizza Chains in America on Eat This, Not That!, I fully expected to see it listed as the top choice for Illinois people.

If not Papa John's, then it would have to be either Domino's or at the very least Pizza Hut.

It's strange because I didn't even consider for one second that Little Caesars would be Illinois pick for fave pizza chain.

Not that there's anything wrong with it, because there's nothing offensive with the pizza from Little Caesars. It's super cheap, I mean $5 for a Cheese Hot N Ready? It's just that sometimes it's easy to forget Little Caesars actually exists.

That said, it's not like Illinois is alone expressing their love for Little Caesars because over half of America loves it too.

Eat This, Not That!:

Little Caesars (yes, Little Caesars) claimed first place in half of the states studied! The remaining 24 states were divvied up amongst delivery pizza's "Big Three," with Papa John's and Domino's taking the lion's share (17 states), and Pizza Hut left to scrap it out with the likes of Marco's Pizza, Godfather's Pizza, and Papa Murphy's.

Wisconsin residents picked Papa John's as their go-to pizza chain in case you were wondering.
