Illinois Meijer Stores Will Begin Offering COVID-19 Vaccine Shots
Meijer Stores have been operating COVID-19 vaccine clinics in other states and now the retailer will be opening clinics inside stores in Illinois and Wisconsin.
It has become a daily routine get online and try and find an opening to get the COVID vaccine. My wife and I have registered everywhere; all the drugstores, Walmart and the Winnebago County Health Department. It gets frustrating when you want to do your part to help stop the spread of this virus that has taken so much, and so many, from us. My brain has been stuck on that Herd Immunity magic number of 70%. The only way we get to the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic is for seventy percent of us to either get the virus or get vaccinated.
If you've been having a difficult time getting an appointment to get vaccinated, here's a new opportunity to get one.
You can now add Meijer to the list of places you've already registered. It's pretty easy to register, also.
To register to get the vaccine at Meijer, just text COVID to the number 75049 to be sent a link to register. You can also go online to https://clinic.meijer.com/ to register.
You'll be asked questions that help Meijer determine which vaccine phase you're in. As COVID-19 vaccines arrive at stores, you'll be contacted with a date for your vaccine. You'll have the option to decline the date offered. Then you'll have the option of staying in the registration group for a future date or you can opt out of the process completely, if you change your mind or have already received the vaccine.
