If you've never heard this bizarre story about this 'pot' head, you're in for a real treat.

A guy was just "casually" diggin' through some flower pots near a Chicago marathon route when cops wanted to chat with him. Were they gonna question whose pots he was digging in? I'm too invested now.

His name is Bryan Duffy, a Real Estate agent who clearly enjoys playing in Chicago soil in his free time. To each their own I always say.

When cops approached Bryan because of his suspicious activity, he thought it would be a fantastic idea to make a getaway into the Chicago marathon route.  I mean, not a bad plan if you blended in...

Of course, cops took every measure to protect the attendees and chased Bryan through the crowd. After 2.5 miles on the foot chase, they tackled him to the ground.  He ended up getting road rash from the impact. Go figure!

You're wondering, "Why was he running from police in the first place?" Well, Bryan was caught carrying an Altoids box with 10 capsules of Molly and a large amount of money adding up to $531.  Nice, Bryan.  Real nice.

Duffy was doomed.  He was caught... dirty handed you could say.  He was arrested and charged with the following:

  • possession of a controlled substance
  • resisting arrest
  • reckless conduct for putting marathon runners in danger

No runners or flower pots were harmed in the pursuit to catch the flower fugitive.
