By playing trivia on his cellphone, a man in Illinois won $8,800.

I know a lot of people that enjoy playing games on their phones. I do every once in a while, but I don't want to pay for it. Call me cheap.

I have friends that don't mind spending the money. Some games will actually give you an opportunity to win cash. I'm kind of skeptical when it comes to stuff like that. I don't believe I'm going to score thousands of dollars off a video game.

Apparently, you can actually win.

According to chicagotribune.com,

"A LaGrange Highlands man won nearly $8,800 he will use to pay housing expenses by playing a trivia game app."

It's called "Givling." The man was playing for around ten months before he won. Each day, your first two games are free then you have to pay fifty cents for any additional. Winnings could be anywhere from $7,000 to $50,000. Since September, the company has paid out $2.5 million in prizes.

I wonder how much the guy paid to play before he actually won.

I might have to start playing more on my phone.
