This is the kind of thing that would make me want to hide underneath a bed for a week. On August 16 in Montgomery, Illinois, a massive piece of metal from a power line came crashing through the roof of a house. A thing so heavy and thick it could slice through your home like a buzzsaw.

The Crash in Montgomery, Illinois

Maggie Green, no relation to the character from The Walking Dead, because well, it's a fictional character, and anyway, was in her house at the time with her friend and her friend's ten-year-old daughter, when out of nowhere, hello, the monster disc landed just inches from them.  Maggie Green may have summed up the experience by saying, "It sliced through my house like a circular saw blade," and you know what, she's not exaggerating or overstating. Firefighters showed up, checked things out, but Maggie Green has yet to hear from ComEd regarding the incident, and she's wondering what's to stop more from falling from the tower in the future. Maggie Green compared the scene to Final Destination, and to be honest, it's the truest thing I've heard all day.

She's lucky that movie didn't turn into the real thing.
