Illinois’ First Alpine Coaster To Open in 2022 and Comes with Breathtaking Views
Hold on to your hat, something new is debuting in Illinois come later summer of 2022. Not only will it be a first for the state but this attraction will offer breathtaking views of the Mississippi bluffs.
This new adventure will be waiting for guests to experience in Grafton, Illinois at Aerie’s Resort, the same spot that was the first in the state for the first gondola and open-air lift and zipline.
What's coming next? An alpine coaster.
What is an alpine coaster, exactly?
An alpine coaster is sort of like a roller coaster. These involve steep hills or mountains and carry you on a course through nature. There can be sharp turns and twists and offer amazing views.
Something alpine coasters have that roller coasters don't is a hand brake that allows you to slow down to enjoy the view.
