Rockford Police reported a car versus motorcycle crash early Thursday evening (6/22) in the northwest part of the city that ended up taking the life of one person.

Fatal Accident Closes Rockford Streets During Rush Hour

According to the post on the Rockford Police Department's Twitter page, the deadly crash happened before 5 pm and shut down near Main Street and Bauer, and at Shepherd Trail.

Just before 10 pm on Thursday night, Rockford Police shared further information on the motorcycle accident via Twitter and confirmed a 30-year-old man had died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.
