According to a press release from the IDOI, the Life Policy Locator service has helped reunite families with over $8.5 million in lost or unclaimed life insurance policies and annuities this year alone.
We understand that dealing with loss can be overwhelming. Finding life insurance policies from years ago can be an added stress, but we're here to help. Our Life Policy Locator is a free tool that can be the first step in claiming the benefits you deserve. -IDOI Acting Director Ann Gillespie
The IDOI requires insurance companies to attempt to locate beneficiaries, but the Life Policy Locator can be a valuable resource for those who may not even know a policy exists.
