An Illinois college savings plan has once again received a top rating as one of the nation's top-performing and most affordable education savings programs.

Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs announced that the state's Bright Start 529 College Savings Plan has earned its seventh Gold rating from independent financial analyst Morningstar.
