A story that's been on the news lately has been talking about when we change the law to allow recreational Cannabis, we might not be able to keep up with demand. Governor JB Pritzker's 2020 budget predicts that we might see $170 Million dollars from adult use marijuana legalization a lot of which will come from licensing fees. The one question that's been asked is will we have enough? According to RRSTAR.com, in Springfield, Reps for Medicinal Marijuana growers say they have the capacity to handle the demand when the law changes.

As of now they say that they can meet demand for up to 3 years with the space they currently have. As for Dispensaries, there are currently 55 officially licensed but the law allows for 463. When the law changes they will be popping up all over the place. Negotiations are still underway and they've been taking place behind closed doors. As of today no bill for adult use Cannabis has been filed but we will keep you posted as the news becomes available.
