Illinois is at the center of a major outage with AT&T cell phone service. AT&T customers, if you’ve experienced an issue when making wireless calls, here's how to fix the problem.

Thousands of AT&T customers have been reporting outages associated with their AT&T service on Wednesday night. Customers have been unable to make or receive phone calls, or use internet service. As a result,  AT&T looked into the issue and has issued this fix.

As of 7:30pm CST Wednesday evening, people were still reporting issues. Illinois and Southern Wisconsin is part of the heavily affected area.

Most people who have restarted their phones have had success in getting their phones to work properly. However, in some cases, multiple restart are required.
