Unexplained flashing lights coming from a home in Illinois have the internet scratching its collective head.

Mysterious Flashing Lights Reported at an Abandoned Illinois Home

The home, in suburban Plainfield, is abandoned and boarded up. That doesn't explain how folks have caught these random flashes on camera multiple times. It's so strange that, even after multiple police calls to Plainfield police and the Will County Sheriff's Office, there's been no explanation. No sign of immediate danger and zero sign of suspicious activity.

On top of all that, there's very little explanation as to why the home is boarded up, or for how long the house has been abandoned.

Police Respond, But No Explanation Emerges

The lights have flashed in what some amateur sleuths believe is an S.O.S. pattern in Morse code, and it has been happening over the course of days and even months now. There is no plausible reason why the lights are flashing, but at this point, it's presumed non-threatening, but hey, maybe the place is haunted?
