When you lose someone you love, part of you goes with them, though their personal items stay. This leaves the opportunity to take their favorite shirt, hoodie, jacket, or whatever, and create something to physical to remind you of them for the rest of your life.

There is nothing harder in life than losing someone you love. Life is such a hard path to navigate when you lose your mom, dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, your child, a niece or nephew, a close friend, your significant other. There are simply no rules for how to move forward. We all individually find our own ways of coping, no matter how long it takes to grieve.

One thing that has helped me grieve a death very close to me is a part of a key chain that had fallen off my children's grandmother's keychain. It's little and maybe insignificant but sometimes I hold it when I'm struggling with whatever is going on at that moment. Another for me is the top cushion from my dad's favorite recliner. It's literally just a cushion right now but I've finally found something to do with it. I'm going to have the fabric turned into a keepsake. This, of course, after I reach out to Tammy Crook of Ashton, Illinois.

I make memory bears and memory pillows, from your loved ones clothing, blanket, coat, robe, jeans etc.....I'm located in Ashton. (via Facebook)
