I Couldn’t Escape The 815 Escape Room In Rockford

This weekend I had an opportunity to experience something fun and challenging that Rockford has to offer. I tried to take on the Bio-Genesis room at 815 Escape.

If you've never tried an escape room, I highly recommend it. They are a lot of fun and can be very difficult to figure out. I've done it once before but wouldn't claim to be an expert by any means. I can tell you that the room we picked was the most difficult one they offer and 815 Escape did an amazing job with it.

In the room we chose, you have 60 minutes to figure out clues and crack the code to try and escape. We were teamed up with another group for the room and even though we were strangers, we all managed to work together well to try and defeat it. Now I can't get into the details of the tasks we had to complete, but I can tell you it is a mind game. Some clues are right under your nose and others you really rack your brain trying to figure it out. The clue that did us in was actually really obvious once we were shown at the end how to do it, but then again isn't everything easier once you know how? Needless to say, 60 minutes wasn't enough time for us to complete our room, but as soon as we left, we were already trying to make plans to find out when we could go back and complete it.

If you're looking for a fun time whether it be a family outing, birthday party, bachelor/bachelorette party, date, or just want a challenge, I suggest getting your group together and trying an escape room at 815 Escape. Even if you don't escape, like I didn't, it's a lot of fun and gets those competitive juices flowing!
