It's National Flag Week, and all Americans are urged to fly Old Glory proudly outside their homes all week long. If you're already on top of this, but noticed that your flag has definitely seen better days, here's how you can retire it properly in Rockford.

According to WIFR, through this Friday, June 14, "you can donate worn and dilapidated flags for retirement at the Winnebago County Clerk's Office at 404 Elm Street or Veterans Memorial Hall at 211 N. Main Street" in Rockford.

Anyone who brings an old flag into Veteran's Memorial Hall or the Winnebago County Clerk's Office this week for retirement will be put in a drawing for a brand new flag to hang in its place.
