Holy Smokes! 24-Year-Old Rockford Native Quits Job; Becomes Full Time YouTuber
Wouldn't it be nice to quit your job and be a full time YouTuber? You'd make a crazy amount of money at home with thousands of online viewers waiting for YOU to upload your next video.
For this 24-year-old young man, he did just that. Born in Rockford, he'd been working over 10 years to make a career for himself on YouTube. His name is Chris James; a name you won't forget any time soon.
I had been working a full time job and just doing YouTube in my free time. Didn’t really start making noticeable money until late 2021 when a video of mine went semi-viral and gave my backlog of content a boost.
On August 8th, 2019 he reached 500 subscribers on his channel. That may sound like a very small number of viewers watching his content, but I've tried gaining subs on my own channel and it's definitely not as easy as you think.
What does Chris make videos about?
My videos are sort of like me and my viewers both watching something stupid together as I make jokes/observations about how absurd it often is. Usually bad tv shows, Youtubers, TikToks.
His sense of humor is one of a kind. If you like a mix between dry humor and brutally honest opinions, it's time to subscribe to his channel.
In less than a year in 2020, Chris hit 1,000 subscribers and growing.
It doesn't stop there...
His videos rapidly got more viewers and the content just kept getting better and better. Within 4 months, Chris hit ANOTHER milestone: 2,000 subscribers.
I've been following his channel for a few years now. No matter how big his channel has gotten, Chris has always been a very humble and kind person.
He never let his following count get to his head and it's rare you find YouTubers or Influencers like him nowadays.
On Monday, January 24th, 2022 Chris announced to Facebook that he's doing YouTube FULL TIME with 30,000 subscribers and growing.
After only 10 YEARS, I finally am doing YouTube full time!! I will indeed brag about this heavily because I 110% earned it and spent many years putting my all into something that wasn’t a for sure thing.Anyways just wanted to throw this out there for my “achieving my dreams announcement”. Thank u to all who supported me
Woo hoo! A huge congratulations to him, he signed up for YouTube with no idea he'd be at 30,000 subscribers and hundreds of thousands of viewers years later.
Where does Chris see his YouTube channel within the next 5 years?
Hopefully in 5 years I’d like to see 1 million subscribers. I’d like to still be doing the videos I make now, or at least making videos similar to them. A lot can change in 5 years so who knows. My next goal I’d say is 100k subscribers.
So, give him a sub on his channel Chris James and Instagram! We wish him the absolute best with his career on the most popular video hosting platform on the planet, YouTube.
If you needed a sign to pursue that dream of yours, DO IT! Let this be the year you accomplish those "impossible" and "unachievable" goals you've been holding off on.
