The famed Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will ride into the Rockford area on Sunday, December 2.

Besides spreading holiday cheer across the country, the real point of the Holiday Train is to scoop up donations at each stop.

You can drop off canned meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and more this Sunday at Byron High School in Byron.

Like previous years, the stop and entertainment is all free of charge. The train will arrive at 12:45 p.m. and the event runs from 1:00 pm to 1:30 p.m.

This year's performers are The Trews and Willy Porter.

Sweet Lenny is the brand manager of 97ZOK and Operations Manager for Townsquare Media Rockford. Catch him afternoons 3 to 7 on 97ZOK. Follow him on TwitterInstagram and like his page on Facebook.
