As a father with grown up kids, I learned very quickly that the childhood years race past even faster than my own parents warned me that they would. There are only so many years you have to get out and do things like trick-or-treating with your kids, so take advantage of every opportunity.
With many people having perhaps missed out on going door-to-door for candy last year due to the pandemic, I would expect a pretty good turnout this year unless Northern Illinois weather screws it all up (Halloween looks like it will be dry and in the middle 50s).

With a lot of pent-up demand along with that kind of money being spent, it's probably a safe bet that there will be more than enough candy to go around for anyone and everyone who's out ringing doorbells.
