Irrational Fears

I'm pretty sure we've all had, or still have, something silly that scares us. For me it's bats or going to the doctor. When my oldest daughter was younger, it was car washes.

I'm not sure if it was the loud noises, the car getting covered in soap, or the dryer at the end that freaked her out, but she would cover her eyes and scream the entire time, every time we drove through a car wash.

My daughter has since grown out of her car wash phobia, but now she, and the rest of us, have a good reason to fear the car wash...at least during the month of October.

A Car Wash With A Killer Twist

Illinois is full of haunted houses, barns, trails, and corn mazes to visit each October, but a haunted car wash? I'm pretty sure I would pee my pants if I saw one of these creatures staring at me once the soap is rinsed off my vehicle in a car wash:

This October, Tommy’s Express Car Wash at 6803 Forest Hills Road in Loves Park will once again transform its normally shiny and spotless tunnel into a nightmare on wheels for two nights only: Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Tickets to the Tunnel of Terror at Tommy's Express Car Wash are $25, and can be purchased when you arrive. Don’t be surprised if Jason, Michael Myers, or a zombie car wash attendant shows up in your rearview mirror. You’ll leave clean, but maybe not calm.
