Right to work laws keep Union contracts from having every worker join the Union or pay their dues. Well it seems that is no longer the case. Last week, Governor JB Pritzker signed the " Collective Bargaining Freedom Act" into law. The new law prohibits local right to work ordinances and puts penalties on those that violate the new law according to Chicago.cbslocal.com.

In 2015, right to work laws became huge after the Lincolnshire suburb of Chicago passed the law. Now after being overturned by a federal court, labor unions now have more of a say than ever. Its obvious that labor unions were definitely in JB Pritzker's corner for this one.
