Good Food Alert! Rockford is Getting a New Fall Indoor Farmers Market
Fall of 2021 in Rockford just got a fresh and delicious upgrade. Rockford's newest farmers market will be indoors. Here are the inaugural season details.
Farmers market shoppers, I was just sent some really good news. Rockford's MidTown District just announced the first season of Rockford's MidTown Market heading indoors.
Such a great scene for the Fall of 2021. There are some great things happening around the city of Rockford, right now.
It's a blessing to be right here, in this moment, sharing this news. I hope you are able to recognize that your presence, in this moment with me, is also a blessing.
Here's what you to know about the Rockford MidTown INDOOR Farmers Market:
The indoor market happens every Thursday from Thursday, October 7 until Thursday, December 16. The market location is the corner of Rockford's 7th Street and 4th Avenue.
The market hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Vendors at the market will range from:
- Artisan crafts
- Health resources
and
- Fresh, locally-grown and produced foods from area farmers and merchants
There's also an opportunity for you if you'd like to become a vendor:
Vendor applications are still being accepted while there is still available space. Send an email to rockfordmidtownmarket@gmail.com to request a vendor or volunteer application.
Rockford Midtown Market is a partnership between the Midtown District Association and Katie’s Cup – both of which are 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations serving the Midtown neighborhood of Rockford.
“Building community around food, music, coffee, crafts, and family-inclusive activities is what we’ve been known for,” says Heather Ashcraft (Katie's Cup/Manager for Rockford Midtown Market's inaugural Fall Season)
Heather, those are wonderful words. Exactly the kind of words that get me so excited about some of the changes in Rockford and how our community is growing.
