Chalk this up to something I would have never even considered as a viable option to clear up landscaping.

Ameren Illinois is a power company that services southern Illinois. They were left with the daunting task of trying to clear dense honeysuckle bushes and poison ivy over a 4 acre area in Hillview, Illinois. The terrain was steep and rocky and too dangerous for workers to be able to access the lines.

Call in the goats! Ameren Illinois brought in 50 goats to clear the area down to the nub according to WREX. Even the company's construction services director had his doubts at first but was amazed at how quickly the goats got the job done.

Now as a lifelong Cubs fan, I have a love/hate relationship with goats, but even I have to admit this was a great idea and whoever thought of it deserves a raise!
