Fun for the whole family is this Saturday at Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens with the Glow in the Garden Festival.

There's going to be a little something for everyone!

Not only will there be family activities throughout the gardens (included with admission), but you can also purchase a floating lantern that can be personalized and released in the Eclipse Lagoon.

Anyone with a little one that is a fan of the movie Tangled would love to do this! It's kinda like Rockford's own version of the "floating lanterns for the lost princess". I have two daughter's I've seen that movie a lot!

Lanterns will be available for purchase outside by the lagoon for $5 or pre-purchased at Nicholas Conservatory or by phone at 815-987-8858.

For those of you who enjoy running there is a 5K and Kids Fun Run also planned as part of the festival.

Runners are encouraged to wear clothing that glows as a fun, unique, glowing course is planned for along the Rock River.

The Kids Fun Run is a 200-meter course and is free! You can pre-register by clicking here.

The Glow in the Garden 5K is a $30 registration fee now until Friday and $35 the day of. This includes a T-shirt, admission to Nicholas Conservatory, and drink ticket. Registration and further race info can be found here.
