Get Rid of Your Old Meds Safely This Saturday in the Stateline

I'm guessing many of you are just like me and have a grocery bag full of old meds sitting in a cabinet, or in my case, on the top of the refrigerator, that you need to get rid of.

Safe disposal of prescription medication is extremely important, and flushing them down the toilet is a big no no, so what do we do with them to make sure they don't end up in the wrong hands? You participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day which happens to be this Saturday, April 27th.

Several Walgreens locations in the Rockford will have medication drop off boxes that you can deposit your old meds in to ensure safe disposal this Saturday, or here's a few places you can drop off old medications in Boone County:
