Two weeks ago Garth Brooks announced he would be putting on a concert that would only be shown at drive-in movie theaters across the United States. I immediately jumped on this and were far off on guessing where we could see this concert locally. My guesses were backed on a possibly-leaked list of venues posted on the concert promoter's website. Unsurprisingly, some folks on Facebook challenged my guesses but I wasn't far off. I was two-for-three. I had guessed Monroe, Wisconsin, McHenry, Illinois, and Sterling, Illinois. I was correct with Monroe and McHenry but not Sterling. The third near-to-Rockford drive-in is located in Elgin, according to Ticketmaster.

Tickets to all three outdoor venues are still available. One ticket costs $100 and is good for as many people that can safely sit inside the vehicle with a limit of five people.

You can find the locations and purchase tickets here.
