Freezing Cold Temps Will Continue in Illinois Into March
Just when we thought Spring was about to warm things up a bit around here, the US National Weather Service has just busted our bubble. It looks like we might have a couple more weeks of January type weather. According to their 8 to 14-day temperature outlook, we are looking at a greater than 90% chance that we will have some below average temperatures through March 6th.
To help put things in perspective, average highs are in the lower-40s and the average lows will be around the low to mid-20s through the first week of March. I know one thing for sure, I have definitely learned my lesson about winter in the north, being a transplant from the south. Hopefully, we only have a couple more weeks of this bitter cold until we head into some warmer Spring weather. I guess I'll go buy some more salt.
