Fine Art Lovers Will Go Wild For This Home That’s For Sale Near Chicago, Illinois
I think we can all agree, seeing what someone's home looks like says a lot about who they are, right? If it's a complete mess, we know that other 'life' things are a higher priority to them than cleaning. If it's immaculately maintained and decorated, we know they really value their possessions and want them to look their best.
Design choices also speak volumes about a person's tastes, and that is the one thing that always fascinates me when walking into someone else's home, or more importantly, looking at homes for sale online.
The other day I came across this post on the 'Zillow Goes Wild' Facebook about a home for sale in Burr Ride, Illinois, (I have recently become OBSESSED with this page), and I was immediately intrigued.
Obviously, $1.5 million is way out of my price range, and I'm pretty sure all the famous art referenced to in the above post is not physically hanging on the walls, so I had to know...how were the home's design choices inspired by fine art?
Well, let's start with the unique cloud ceiling...
Or the 'Last Supper' dining room...
Can we all agree that whoever lives in this home is one hell of an artist/painter, (or hired one hell of an artist/painter)?!?
If you look through all the pictures on the Zillow listing, you will see many uniquely decorated and inspired rooms throughout the home, but the outdoor pool is what stopped me dead in my tracks.
The Zillow listing says, "The pool has the shape of the famous Cloud Gate", and I was like hmm...what is 'Cloud Gate'? This, my friends, is the 'Cloud Gate' pool...
Can we not call that pool for what it is, it's a 'Bean' pool!
(Am I the only uncultured person that didn't know Chicago's 'Bean' is actually called 'Cloud Gate'?)
Now I can't stop wondering if the homeowners really love the Bean in Chicago, or if this pool shape was just a happy coincidence? Maybe I should take a drive to tour the home in person and find out!
