I have to say, 50 years of service in any career is definitely a feat. Can you imagine doing the same job for that period of time? When I was young, my grandfather would take me to his barber shop every two weeks. Mother was never happy with the hair cut though. Grandfather was a military man so anything longer than a half an inch was hippie status.  I really enjoyed going to the barber shop with him though.

Well a barber that's been a staple in Rockton for 50 years just hung up his clippers for the last time according to WIFR.com. Paul Grossen, owner of Razor's Edge Barber shop in Rockton, has decided that now is the time to retire. In 50 years of service, Paul amassed a large amount of regular clients. His final cut went to Clair Dietz who celebrates his 101 birthday this week.

When asked what he'd miss Paul responded with, " Fifty Years total, cutting hair. That's what I'm going to miss, I'm going to miss the people. I consider everyone that came in on a regular basis a friend and some of those friends I might not ever see again and I'm not really happy about that but hopefully, I'll see them around. Soon, Paul will sell some of his memorabilia soon to make room for a Taylor + Max Children's Boutique expansion.
