The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train is set to make it's first stop in the Rockford area in nearly two years this Friday.
Best part of the train stop is that it's absolutely free.
However, the point of the cross-country trek is to collect non-perishable canned goods and monetary donations to help feed the needy.

- The CP Holiday Train will arrive at 12:45 p.m. in Byron on Tower Road near the high school on Friday, December 2.
- The event will run from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.
- Musical guests include Kelly Prescott and Colin James.
- Besides the Byron stop, the CP Holiday Train will make stops in Savanna and Gurnee the same day.
