Ever Wonder about April Showers Bring May Flowers

Each April we hear this saying or maybe even say it "April Showers brings May Flowers". Heck, I caught myself saying it today. Then thought why? If you didn't know this already you will find out that I'm very inquisitive by nature. When I want to know about something I'll get to working digging up information. Guess what I found about this saying? It's actually a poem that was written in the 1500's by Thomas Tusser. "Sweet April showers, do spring May flowers"

Also, this saying is something we use when things are disappointing and we look forward to a happier time in the future. Like the saying "Every cloud has a silver lining" or "Everything has a purpose".

So not only is it a reflection of the state of the weather and climate, that yes rains in April help bring about the green trees and grass of Spring and Summer.  It also helps us steady the course through disappointments waiting for the sunny days life.

So if you're going through a rough rainy patch today be encouraged the May flowers of life are coming, we just have to be patient.
