Johnsonville Launches Dr. Pepper-Inspired Smoked Sausage

I feel like it all began when Doritos started working with Taco Bell on the now legendary Doritos Locos Tacos. To me, it was the first time two separate brands became one to make something magical.

Since then, I have seen cereals mixed together and Easter candy favorite, Peeps, in just about everything, so I guess it's time for Dr. Pepper to shine.

That's because Johnsonville, home of some of the tastiest brats on the planet, has now rolled out Dr. Pepper Inspired Smoked Sausage.

The announcement was made on the Johnsonville Facebook with the headline, ARE THERE NO RULES? followed with the hashtag, FizzyGlizzy.

While my immediate reaction was "yuck," I quickly thought, "yeah, I'll try that" because why wouldn't you want to try a sausage that tastes like Dr. Pepper?

I mean, if KFC makes fireplace logs that smell like their chicken, I can't see any reason why not try a Dr. Pepper sausage.
