The owner of Don Carter Lanes in Rockford created this fundraiser for all of the victims in the shooting that occurred on December 26 inside the bowling center.

On Saturday night, December 26th, just before 7:00 p.m., shots rang out inside Don Carter Lanes at 4007 E. State Street in Rockford. Within one minute of receiving the 'shots fired' 911 call, Rockford Police were on the scene.

The shooting claimed six victims; a 73-year-old male, a 65-year old male, and a 69-year-old male were killed in the shooting. The other three victims went to the hospital. At this time, the identity of the victims has not been released.

Without shots having to be fired, police were able to take the suspect, 37-year-old Duke Webb, into custody.

Brad Sommer, owner of Don Carter Lanes, knows what this community does best. While Rockford takes repeated jabs at its reputation, we also have a long history of 'showing up' for those in need. Sommer just announced a GoFundMe fundraising campaign for all six victims and their families. The campaign has a goal of $60,000. In just a few hours, the total amount raised is just under $3000.
