For about 4 months now I have been on a weight loss journey with my friends at Rockford Weight Loss, and bags of spinach are a staple in my refrigerator right now. I throw some in a salad, on some turkey in a low carb wrap, in a smoothie...I use spinach A LOT.

I know for a fact I have at least 3 bags of baby spinach in my fridge right now, and I'm willing to bet all of them are a part of a new Dole Baby Spinach recall.

According to a press release on dole.com;

Monterey, CA–August 9, 2019–Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. is voluntarily recalling a limited number of cases of baby spinach. The products being recalled are 6 oz Dole Baby Spinach bag, Lot code W20308A (UPC code 0-71430-00964-2), and 10 oz Dole Baby Spinach clamshell, Lot code W203010 (UPC code 0-71430-00016-8), both with Use-by dates of 08-05-2019, due to a possible health risk from Salmonella. Dole Fresh Vegetables is coordinating closely with regulatory officials. No illnesses have been reported in association with the Recall.

These recalled bags of Dole spinach was distributed in 10 states, including Illinois and Wisconsin, so you better check your fridge ASAP to see if you have any recalled product. Dole advises consumers to throw out these recalled spinach bags and contact the Dole Consumer Center at 1-800-356-3111 if you have any questions or concerns.
