Late last night many Rockford news outlets reported Matthew Harkey being wanted by Roscoe Police for heinous crimes. This morning it is being reported that Harkey, wanted for home invasion, aggravated criminal sexual assault, unlawful restraint, and residential burglary, is in police custody. He is currently being held near Decatur, Illinois.

According to WAND, Harkey was driving his Nissan when we crashed.

The crash happened on Illinois-32, between Cerro Gordo and Cisco, when Harkey lost control of the vehicle north of County Road 1045 North. That's when he hit a guardrail and rolled the vehicle several times. He was ejected from the Nissan Rogue and taken to an area hospital. He is expected to be okay.

Matthew Harkey, 43, became the subject of a manhunt after abducting a woman from her home in Rockford. His bond is set at $1,000,000.
