Spooky Event Happening At Midway Village This Weekend

A dimly lit event exploring the dark side of Victorian life is coming to Midway Village.

It's called Evening of Illumination and, yes, you will be guided by only a lantern. Guests will learn about the casket industry (including grave robbery), have a run-in with Edgar Allen Poe, attend a Victorian wake, experience a seance, be pitched to buy snake oils from a medicine man, and learn of the superstitions surrounding a graveyard.

"Evening of Illumination" takes place Sunday night from 6-9 p.m. at Midway Village is $10 per person ($8 for museum members) and guests must be 16 years old and up. Dress for the weather because this is a rain or shine event.
