City First Church has always gone out of their way to help the Rockford community, but since the COVID-19 pandemic began they have stepped up their efforts big time.

If someone needs spiritual help to get them through the pandemic craziness, City First is there.

If someone needs help putting food on their family's table, City First has got their back too.

It doesn't matter where you live or where you worship, if you need help, City First Church is there.

For the 16th time since the pandemic began, City First Church will be hosting another free food distribution at their main church campus on Spring Creek Road in Rockford tomorrow, Thursday, May 19, 2021 starting at 10 a.m.

How Does City First's Food Distribution Work?

Tomorrow's food distribution will run the same as the 15 before it; anyone in the 815 vicinity that needs helps feeding their family during these tough times can drive through City First's parking lot and volunteers will place a box of food into your trunk for you.

No paperwork needs to be filled out, no qualifications have to be met or presented, no questions will be asked. Just show up and you will receive the food you need. Each of the food boxes that be will be distributed on Thursday are filled with fresh dairy, produce and protein items thanks to City First's partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

If you, or someone you know has never taken advantage of a food distribution at City First Church before, there is one very important thing you need to know...food boxes are only available while supplies last. They are prepared to feed about 1,200 households tomorrow, but getting in line a little before 10 a.m. is the best thing you can do to make sure you get the help you need.
