Fiat Chrysler has issued a recall for over 700,000 minivans and SUVs. What is the problem?

According to Headline News, the problem is similar to the ignition switch issue that affected many GM cars last year.

If you are driving one of the vehicles listed in the recall, the company suggests removing everything but the ignition key from your key rings until the switch is fixed. Which models are recalled?

  • Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country minivans from 2008 to 2010 model years
  • Dodge Journey SUVs from 2009 to 2010
