Break out your favorite ugly Christmas sweater and celebrate, because it's the 30th anniversary of a holiday classic.

Really though, it's just a real nice surprise, a real nice surprise.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was released in 1989, to surprisingly tepid reviews, but that did change the public's perception of the Chevy Chase led flick.

After coming out on VHS, then DVD and now Blu-Ray, the movie is a beloved Christmas cult classic.

So it makes sense that AMC would bring back the movie for a limited time starting tonight.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is set to have a one week run at select theaters across the country and we lucked out, AMC 14 in Machesney Park will be it's home in the Rockford area for the next 7 days.

You can buy advance tickets for National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation right now via the AMC Theatres website, and while you're at it, get yourself something, real nice.
