The fate of a lot of our favorite Halloween traditions in Illinois are still up in the air thanks to COVID-19. Halloween is on a Saturday this year, and since the possibility that kids won't be able to trick-or-treat this year is a very real thing, I am already feeling a little bummed out.

In my effort to be a good Mom and make 2020 suck a little less for my daughters, I have been hunting for new Halloween fun we can actually do next month. That is when I came across Sturtevant Haunted Farm in Walnut, Illinois. (To be fair, my boss is the one that found this gem, and when I saw her post pictures I had to know more).

Sturtevant Haunted Farm is located about an hour and 15 minutes from Rockford at 16783 IL HWY 92 in Walnut, IL, and the best part is, it's free to get in

to! This haunted farm features over an acre of "scary" with over 300 mannequins and props to stroll through and scream over...

Sturtevant Haunted Farm is a non-profit who does this display for fun every Halloween season, so if you decide to take the drive to check it out, please consider leaving a monetary donation in one of the buckets you'll find at the site so that the fun can continue to grow for years to come.
