Themed ‘Secret’ Hotel Rooms in Illinois Might Make Good Valentines Plans
In Galena, Illinois there are truly unique overnight adventures waiting at one of the town's hotels. You wouldn't know it by the looks of the exterior. Some called them secret rooms while their technical names are fantasy suites.
Oh, by the way, children are not allowed in these rooms (Cue: adults clapping in approval.)
One of the complaints made most about hotels is usually about the sounds outside of your room, kids running down the hall, people screaming in the next room, a loud tv, maybe even road noise.
Based on this Yelp! review, sound may not be a problem in the fantasy suites at the Best Western in Galena. You'll be glad when you see the inside of these suites.
The perk to the fantasy suite was we couldn't hear any outside noise. No one else's door slamming, people walking around or talking, or the traffic outside. It was like being in our own little world for a few days.
Themed suites are not a new thing for this hotel, in fact, the artist behind these rooms has created more than 70 different themes in the 30 years he has owned the overnight destination. Yes, the owner is also the designer.
If you're looking for a relaxing night alone with a special someone this might be a spot to check out.
