Carrie Underwood’s Son Plays With a Potato? ‘I Know It’s Weird’
We're sure Carrie Underwood's son, Isaiah, has plenty of toys, but give him a potato with a face on it and he'll entertain himself for days.
The singer turned to Instagram on Wednesday (June 16) to share a picture of Isaiah's potato, which he has drawn a face on and set up in a flotational device that looks like a chocolate donut with sprinkles. An unusual toy choice, to be sure, but hey ... who's to say what makes a kid happy? We're not trying to come between a boy and his potato.
Underwood clearly recognizes what a strange toy a potato with a face makes.
"This is what my kid has been playing with for the past 2 days," she writes to accompany the photo of the friendly-looking spud. "Yes, it’s a potato. Yes, he has other real toys. Yes, I know it’s weird."
Carrie Underwood's Best Single? We've Ranked 'Em Worst to Best!
Underwood often shares the highlights of her home life with Isaiah and her husband, former NHL player Mike Fisher. She recently posted a clip of Fisher comically singing along to her current single, "Cry Pretty," engaging in some amusing vocal riffs that were a little reminiscent of James Brown.
She also took a good-natured dig at his dad jokes in another post, and showed a sweet moment where he was teaching Isaiah to shoot with a bow and arrow. But by far the cutest thing she's posted recently was an adorable video of Isaiah on the pedestrian bridge leading into downtown Nashville as the 2018 CMA Music Festival kicked off, earnestly waving to fans and welcoming them to Nashville like a true ambassador of country music.
