Buy Your ‘Forever’ Stamps ASAP, USPS Announces Largest Stamp Price Increase in History

We probably should've stocked up in 2007.

Ok, so let's talk about stamps.

I seriously thought they still cost 32 cents.

Turns out that price only lasted from 1995 until 1999, which totally makes sense in my head because I was in elementary school at that time learning about money.

Now, stamps are expensive! They're currently 50 cents each and are set to increase by quite a lot later this year.

So whoever thought to stock up on Forever stamps when they were introduced back in 2007 at just 41 cents a pop is genius!

The increase will take place on January 27, so you have a few weeks to load up on the 50 cent stamps that are being bumped up to 55 cents, which is pretty huge if you think about how many Christmas cards you sent out this year.

In case you're new to the stamp lingo, Forever stamps will always be usable no matter what the price changes too.
