Have you ever wanted to race through a zoo? Here's your chance.

The Brookfield Zoo is one of the more beautiful parks in Chicago. Even if they didn't have a world class selection of animals to look at, the scenery would still draw thousands of people a year. That's what makes this event so special.

The 5K race is being held on September 9. All proceeds will go towards The Chicago Zoological Society Animal Care and Conservfation Fund, commonly known as The CZSACCF.

In addition to the 5K race, they will also be holding a children's 1-Mile race for participants aged 4-13.

The entry fee of $30 ($25 if you pull the trigger by April 15) gets you a t-shirt, bib containing your timing chip, and snacks and beverages.

The best part of the whole thing is that entrance to the park is free for friends and family members to cheer you on.
