Blood Donations Are Urgently Needed in Rockford

The sole purpose of Rock River Valley Blood Center is to provide life-saving blood to hospitals in Boone, McHenry, Ogle, Rock, Stephenson & Winnebago counties. This past Labor Day weekend saw its share of traumas in the Stateline, and because of it blood supplies at RRVBC are critically low.

If you haven't rolled up your sleeve lately to save some lives, today looks like a fine day to do exactly that. The entire donation process takes about an hour, and you can set an appointment right now at rrvbc.org.
