Our friends at Country on the River have ended the wait for the announcement of their final headliner for this summer’s festival.

Country hit-maker Billy Currington will take the stage as a headliner at Country on the River, which is Aug. 4-6 in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Currington joins previously announced headliners Lee Brice and Kid Rock.

Country on the River also announced that Eli Young Band, Montgomery Gentry, Joe Nichols, Eric Paslay, The Swon Brothers, Granger Smith (featuring Earl Dibbles Jr.), LOCASH, Clare Dunn, Halfway to Hazard, Amanda Watkins and Ruthie Collins will take the stage at this summer’s festival.

Currington has released six albums since 2003, which have produced 15 top 40 hits, including nine songs that reached No. 1. The “Pretty Good at Drinkin’ Beer” and “Hey Girl” singer won a CMT Award in 2006 for Hottest Video of the Year for “Must Be Doin’ Something Right.”
