Sunflower Season in Illinois

Like it or not, all signs are pointing to the end of summer coming soon. Many county and state fairs have already come and gone, schools will be back in session soon, and Halloween and holiday decor are taking over your favorite stores.

Before you start crying in your flip flops and swimsuits just remember that some of the best summer things are still coming, like massive sunflower fields in bloom!

Over the last week or so I've seen at least 10 of my friends asking social media for help finding sunflower fields in Illinois or Wisconsin, so I thought I'd do the legwork for you.

I don't know about you, but sunflowers always make me smile, and fields full of them also make awesome backdrops for family photos. I've been to two of the farms listed above, and the one thing I love most about them is that they have a whole lot more to offer than just  beautiful sunflower fields. There's also activities for kids, pick your own produce, farm markets, and more!

Skelly's Farm Market in Janesville, Wisconsin - There are only a few days left to enjoy the beautiful sunflower fields at Skelly's, but they kick off fall season fun on Labor Day!
