Rockford Cannot Agree on the Best Chinese Restaurant

Last week, I shared with you what I believed to be the best Chinese restaurant in Rockford. Not because of my own taste buds, but using what other folks on social media were saying.

It's not me, that's for sure. I like Chinese food, and while I think I've had some good dishes, I've never been able to tell you for sure what's the best.

I could tell you Happy Wok or Panda, both of which are fine, but, as Abigail said on Facebook, "You either like Happy Wok or you don't." So that confuses me, and maybe I'm just too much of a pizza-and-burgers guy to tell you, without a doubt, which Chinese restaurant is the best.

Is There Really One “Best” Chinese Restaurant in Rockford?

Folks online said Wong Wong was the best in town. While others picked different spots, some lamented what had once been in Rockford. Plenty of mentions of The Royal Dragon and Imperial Palace littered the comments.

So… What Is Rockford’s Best Chinese Restaurant?

What I'm trying to say is, I don't think there is a hands-down best place for Chinese in Rockford, but I can say this: there's plenty of great places in contention, like:

• Chef Chen
• Teriyaki Express
• Golden Chopsticks
• The Great Wall Restaurant
• Lung Fung 2

There is, of course, Wong Wong Chinese Restaurant in the mix, too.
