It was announced last week that Democratic Presidential hopeful Senator Bernie Sanders was coming to Rockford this week.

But it turns out the Senator will NOT be making a stop in Forest City.

The rally was scheduled for this Tuesday, March 10th at the Coronado Performing Arts Center with Senator Sanders taking the stage at 12:30pm to speak.

According to the Sanders campaign Facebook page, there were some scheduling constraints and that's the reason he won't be appearing in Rockford.

The same Facebook page says Sanders is still going to be speaking at the rally at Chicago's Grant Park scheduled for Saturday, March 14th at 1:30pm.

The event in Chicago is free and open to the public with the Illinois Democratic Primary is March 17th.
