Belvidere Woman Honored for Her Passion to Save & Rebuild Lives
Every week when JB and I read through the Hometown Hero nominations we receive, we are both humbled by the amount of "awesome" that happens in our community. So many extraordinarily giving and hard-working people live in the Stateline area, and it is truly an honor to recognize one of the many every single week.
This week's Hometown Hero, Julie Saenz, sounds like a real-life superhero. Not only is her job vital to so many in the Rockford area, but her dedication to help others live better lives doesn't stop there.
Here is the nomination letter we received from Tiffany Stevens of Belvidere about Julie;
I think you should select Julie Saenz because she is an amazing woman who has saved lots of people's lives working at Remedies Renewing lives in Rockford, she is a addiction counselor who helps people to restart their lives, she’s not just any counselor, she’s someone who has helped me as well as others out of situations and has went above and beyond putting us who have struggled with this horrible addiction demon when others stopped being there for us she has put herself in our shoes, not only while doing that she has a disabled daughter who she takes care of and fights for every day as her daughter can't walk , talk she’s fighting to help her daughter live a regular life while helping others to survive a horrible disease that has been was a epidemic. If anyone deserves to be recognized as a hometown hero it is this special lady who puts everyone before herself!!!
Thanks to our friends at Gustafson's Furniture & Mattress, we are giving Julie a $100 Amazon gift card as a small token of appreciation for completely dedicating her lives to the service of others. Julie, please use it to buy something that will make you smile. Thank you for inspiring us all to do better, be better.
